Process
We embarked on a 10-week journey to craft the product vision, establish the key features and bring it to life through multiple prototypes that show how the system works in realistic scenarios.
We collected inputs from 9 internal stakeholder to frame the value proposition and the main product features and collaboratively defined the key information provided by stakeholders.
Finally, we translated the vision and the data collected into meaningful MVP with designs.
Challenge
We focused on every aspect of Artemis where we understood how multiple products are entangled with each other and encountered 3 main challenges faced on a daily basis to answer client’s need.
Fragmented Ecosystem
SLB products were fragmented into smaller pieces within the same ecosystem.
Handling Data
Simulation & Process Engineers have to deal with large amount of data and takes lot of manual effort to understand if the information is correct.
Working in Silos
Different domains leverages diverse expertise, which results in missing out on collaborating with other champions and results in working in silos.
Approach
In ten weeks of collaborative work, we defined the MVPs’ scope, and guided the team to deliver an extensive service blueprint along with personas, user journey and information architecture.

Efficient
1
From a fragmented ecosystem to an integrated vision
Thanks to the integrated picture - from the overview to the single detail - Artemis enables a more efficient decision-making process to facilitate fixing the problems faster and with more effective workflows and activity planning.
Informed
2
From providing data to generating knowledge
It enables a more informed decision-making process by providing contextualized alerts, insights, diagnoses, root causes, and recommendations in one place, driving clients towards proactiveness.
Collaborative
3
From working in silos to active collaboration
It enables a more collaborative decision-making process integrating workflows in one place, giving access to the same data to all the experts and bringing together automated system and human expertise.
After
Outcome
Post defining the scope for MVP, we started brainstorming on the key screens for the main flows and also started mapping the key features with the value propositions and finally proposed an integrated and customized product. We believed Artemis platform modules can fully respond to the different client needs. The customer can optimize and customize the product according to their own needs and requirements, with the benefit of flexibility and variety in use.
Actionable Insights
Artemis combines measured data and generated understanding into concrete actions to optimize operations.
Holistic View
Artemis captures the reality and displays the assets and data view through visual means for the user to seamlessly gain a holistic understanding of related operations and the production system.
Integrated Workflows
Alterations in production and process operations can be challenging to understand. Artemis not only brings together the different agents and domains in the production system but also facilitates access to SLB subject matter experts for extra guidance and to solve more complex problems.
Product MVP Deliverables
App 1 - Twin Builder
Twin Builder app simplifies the creation, testing, execution, and management of simulation-based digital twins, enriching data and automating workflows.
App 2 - Performance
Performance app enables insights from process digital twins aimed at improving the operation of any facility by providing optimization solutions targeting various objectives.
Thresholds are important
1
Displaying thresholds for the charts will help the user to understand the differential both positive and the negative
2
Eliminating errors
Showing % of error between measured and simulated values makes it easy for the user to filter the data points, that is difficult for the model to match.
3
Proactive alerting
Defining KPI’s and thresholds can possibly raise an alert, which will help the users take immediate and necessary actions.
4
Assisted data mapping
Rather than letting the user create data mapping from scratch having a guided and assisted flow would save the overall time taken to create data mapping and also increase the efficiency.
Seamless navigation
1
Clear and seamless navigation between twin builder and performance will help in enhancing the user experience.
2
Configurable Pages
Designing configurable pages would benefit users as they will be able to customize their view and see details as per their need.
3
Auto-sensitivity
Highlighting about the system inputs that have bigger impacts will keep the users informed.
4
Integrated workflows
Running what-if scenarios and integrating workflows like optimization results into forecasting will allow the users to get better results and understanding of the facility.
Outcomes
Based on the work done for MVP, we defined the future strategy for Artemis products. We identified 3 possible directions to integrate the different applications into a seamless experience
Dashboard
One single product that integrates all the apps providing an exhaustive overview. The user can then access different apps to deep dive on every specific insight, alert and opportunity.
Product Suite
We identified the key components that will be consistent across the different apps, building them in a way that would meet the content needs of the different apps.
Configurable Experience
A fully configurable experience: every client can choose the “solutions” needed. These solutions are built around ‘opinionated workflows’.
